Описание

Beef & Vegetable Stew
 
3 stalks of celery (chopped)
1 Medium onion (chopped)
3 large potatoes
1 cup carrots(chopped)
3 lbs. stew beef
1 tbsp creole seasoning
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp grapeseed oil
2 cloves fresh garlic (chopped)
6 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
2 sprigs fresh thyme
1 sprig fresh rosemary
2 bay leaves
2 15oz cans stewed tomatoes.
1 tbsp tomato paste
32 oz bag of mixed veggies
 
Season beef with the 1tbsp creole seasoning, 1 tbsp of onion powder and 1 tbsp of garlic powder. Set your pan to medium heat and the add in the grapeseed oil. Once it’s heated add in the beef. Cook the beef until it’s brown on all sides. Remove the beef from the pan then add in the onions, celery, and carrots.  Cook for about 2 minutes then add in the garlic. Cook the garlic for another minute then add the beef back into the pan. Add in the chicken broth, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp onion powder, sprig of thyme, sprig of rosemary and the 2 bay leaves. Next add in the 2 cans of stewed tomatoes and the tomato paste. Place the lid on and let it cook on medium heat for an hour. After an hour check the beef and see if its tender.  If its tender add in your potatoes and veggies. If it’s not tender let it cook for about another 30 minutes, then add in the potatoes. After you add in the potatoes and veggies place the lid back on and reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for another 25 to 30 minutes. Remove the bay leaves and the stems from the thyme and rosemary and you are all done. Adjust the salt and pepper as necessary. Don’t forget the cornbread and rice.
